7-30-09 Fishing Report
Well, the fishing has sure stayed good this week.  We've been catching most of our fish in 9-12 feet of water, but there are plenty of fish deeper and shallower.  This week we've been concentrating on live bait rigging with bottom bouncers and spinners on the outside of weedlines.  One day leeches works the best another nightcrawlers and some days it doesn't matter.  Today it didn't matter.  The last few days we've done best with metalic colored blades...gold, copper, and silver being the best.  Earlier in the week green and chartreuse were the color.  Fishing has also been good for those casting cranks on the edge of weeds, those slip bobbering trees, and those working bottom bouncers on deep structure.  Some good areas have been the north end of creel bay, weed lines in 6 mile bay, Doc Hagens, trees around Grahams Island, Pelican bay, Knutson bay, and the deep structure in main bay such as Cactus point, Rocky Point, Bird Island, etc.  Remember to be mobile.  Good luck!
