Generally fishing still has been pretty good but the changes in weather the last week and a half has caused there to be some challenging days. Challenging days aside the walleyes, white bass, and a few pike have still been cooperative. For Walleye fishing success has come a lot of different ways including trolling cranks, jigging, slip bobbering, and trolling bottom bouncers and spinners on sunken roads...casting cranks, jigging, and slip bobbering weed lines and weed pockets, trolling bottom bouncers w/ spinners on the old shore line 25-28 feet of water, and slip bobbering and jigging in the trees. Success has been coming in all over on the lake so if you prefer one method of fishing over the other try it on some of these different structures and enjoy the hunt. A few areas you might want to try would be the Golden Highway, Doc Hagens, the deep water structure around Ft. Totten, Foughty's point, Pelican Bay, the trees along Grahams Island. Good luck and enjoy our last couple of months of decent weather before you have to pull out the ice augers and fish houses.
